A brief look at our courses

 

  • Fire Safety Risk Assessment course:  A one day course designed to familiarise you with the FSO 2005, enabling you to review your fire risk assessment, or carry out an initial one on a low risk premises.
  • Fire Safety Manager: A half day overview to enable understanding of the Responsible Person's duties under the FSO 2005.
  • Landlord's Fire Awareness: A half day course for housing assciations, retirement villages, local authorities, or any landlord responsible for flats which are let or leased.
  • Fire Warden: A half day course for Competent Persons.  Covering the dangers from fire & smoke, development & spread of fire & smoke, fire safety risk assessment as a fire prevention tool, emergency plan, practical use of fire extinguishers.
  • Construction Site Fire Safety: A half day course covering the responsibilities of all parties in a large construction project. Fire Marshall course for Principle or main contractor.
  • Residential Care: A half day course for people employed in this area, whether elderly, learning difficulty or other form of similar accomodation.
  • Domiciliary Care: A 2 hour course for people delivering care or other services in people's homes.  This is specificaly outside of the FSO 2005.
  • Kitchen Fire Safety: A 2 hour fire safety course designed for kitchen staff.
  • Induction/Refresher Fire Safety:  A 2 hour course designed to introduce new employees to their responsibilities as an employee, or a refresher to existing staff who require update training on a periodic basis.
  • Fire Extinguisher Practical: A 1 hour course to enable staff to identify and safely use the common portable first aid fire fighting appliances.  Can include: Water, Foam, Dry Powder, CO2 and Fire Blanket.  Wet Chemical by pre-arrangement and extra cost.
